Deviation Actions
Artists join deviantART to share their art and appreciate others. Due to the many artists out there, it’s easy to get towed under and generally obscured from the public.
Make a Difference aims to do exactly that. This series of articles will hopefully make a difference to you as well as the artists featured weekly. Just by giving one minute of your time to write constructive comments, favourites and even watches will make a difference to these artists.
's artistic nude photography is beautiful, capturing grace and portraying a wonderful array of profound emotion. The execution is fantastic in all, and the black and white contrast is used to brilliant effect.

's intriguing pieces of literature provoke some great thought in us, especially as the message is so strongly conveyed, the impact made greater in how he has phrased things.
"Sawed to pieces by automatic weapons
Or strung over a bar by a rope
Native creatures and plants rotting in piles of soiled compost and char and settled smoke.
Where plants till can grow foreign noxious plants thrive and animals infest."
"We, as people
As individuals
As communities
Nations
A world,
We are rising up"
"A little slice of heaven
Some can stay forever
Many can't
Most don't want to."

depicts characters well, the features of those characters effectively elaborating upon what might be happening as well as setting the scene of it all in a colourful way.

EmbersThe leaves fall like embers and I am seared.~ An extract from Embers
Gas-choked rivers glow from everburning flames.
The air of sulfur and hydrocarbon cocktail
Lead in the food, lead in the water
All is gray and black and fiery oranges, yellows, and reds of blood and flame alike.
Pacifists pushing for change
for rights
for medicine
for anything
Sawed to pieces by automatic weapons
Or strung over a bar by a rope
Native creatures and plants rotting in piles of soiled compost and char and settled smoke.
Where plants till can grow foreign noxious plants thrive and animals infest.
A stench of death and smoke and gas and pain and gas and blood and gas as it chokes.
The leaves fall like embers and I am

Poem promptThe sky is not falling~ An extract from Poem prompt
We are rising.
As time marches forward
We learn.
We make some terrible mistakes where the sky seems to creep further out of reach
Yet over time we get back to our feet
Mature
Improve
Grow.
We, as people
As individuals
As communities
Nations
A world,
We are rising up
Making this world a better place
For us
Our children
Other animals
Plants
Everything.
It has taken us a long time to see some of the mistakes of our past
But now that we do, we can make things better
Step by step.
"We, as people
As individuals
As communities
Nations
A world,
We are rising up"
Past the GatesOutside the walls~ An extract from Past the Gates
It's dangerous
There are many threats
and few guarantees.
No batteries
No medicine
It's cold
It's hot
No mass communication
Not much love.
But.
Not much hate.
A spectrum of colors with no paints or synthetic dyes.
Music without music
A menagerie left and right
Large and small
A wide choice of scenery
A little slice of heaven
Some can stay forever
Many can't
Most don't want to.
There is evidence of the inside,
a shred here,
a scrap there,
but for the most part, purged
or integrated, the land with the leftovers
Trunks consume bicycles
Current events turn to soil
Artificial mountains of abandoned shelters covered in natural moss and vines
Organic
It heals without aid
Outside the walls.
"A little slice of heaven
Some can stay forever
Many can't
Most don't want to."

Magic Week - Reverse Caption
The power flowed into him, filling his lungs, spreading out in his blood like oxygen, and settling into the marrow of his bones. He felt himself smile in a way that he hadn't since he was a boy learning to cast his first spell. He had devoted decades to the study of magic, but now, now he was magic. A glow lit the trees around him. He couldn't be sure if it was the setting sun, or if the glow came from his own skin. A beetle crawled on the ground nearby, seemingly unconcerned with what it had just witnessed, but yet its movements were in time with his heartbeat. A bird in the sky flapped its wings to the same rhythm. A breeze plucked at his hair and clothes. He began to dance, slowly at first; he followed the wind, and the wind followed him. He moved faster, twirling and leaping, until even the fallen leaves were dancing around him. When he stopped, all was still. He smiled again, and raised his arms to the sky. The first stars were visible. He watched them for a long
