Tell us a bit about yourself, *MyLifeThroughTheLens! How did you get into photography and why?
My name is Eddy , i was born and raised in Lima and a few years ago i moved to Boston. I got into photography about 2 years ago after a really bad breakup because i guess i really needed to feel good at something and since i always loved art i decided to give photography a shot and now i'm really glad i did it has helped me a lot.
Why are you on deviantART?
I am on deviantart because i feel that this is a great community of artists and i feel more comfortable to open myself to personal ideas or concepts here than in any other social network ..but when i'm not sharing my work i also enjoy browsing for art and it is usually from traditional artist like Pixiecold or Lora zombie.
What type of photography

Still Life PhotographyStill Life Photography is much like Still Life art in general, in the sense that the photograph (instead of a canvas) depicts inanimate objects and subject matters overall. Often, objects are grouped together for this portrayal, which the photographer exploits to really create a fantastic composition. Photography allows the artist more of a chance to arrange the objects for capture easily.
However, Still Life Photography isn't as easy as it sounds. One must think about the lighting, composition, and other matters to really make the photograph attractive and engaging. This is similar to Still Life art, in which Still Life Photography is founded upon.
You could say that Still Life Photography is influenced from the romanticism of traditional painting techniques. Still Life isn't simply the arrangement of objects, it is the presentation and illustration of the natural world, something more than a simple record. Getting the Most out of dA: CommentingUsually, when you read something involving 'Commenting', you think of deviations and the commenting platform that allows other members of the community to voice their thoughts and opinions on the art shown. However, what is pretty evident, and something that most of us may forget, is that deviantART runs on the ability to give and get comments, be it on pieces of artwork, our profile pages, +forums, and everywhere else in between.
In a sense, without the ability to give and get comments, deviantART wouldn't be much of a website, much less #1 of online art communities around. Comments are not solely the cause of what makes deviantART what it is, but it has a huge impact on a lot of things. By giving and getting comments, not only do we interact with other members to really make this a community, we also have the ability to get our voices heard.
It's quite an odd concept with us all facing screens, typing out our thoughts and opinions, but one thing we shouldn't forget is that commen

How did you get into photography, *FlexDreams?
I bought a Canon S3 and began to shoot everything
How did you find deviantART and what keeps you here?
I've forgotten, may have been google or some of my friends who told me about DA...
I'm here because I have many watchers, so more people will see photos. It's a good tool to promote art

I like to do dark art, because... hm.. I like to show strange dark concepts, ideas & looks

Getting the Most out of dA: GroupsGroups are a platform on deviantART which allow you to share your art - what it is primarily used for. Immediately, once your art is accepted into the Gallery, your art is sent to the message centres of many members of that particular group, gaining you instant and wider exposure. However, to really enhance your deviantART experience, and to get the most out of deviantART, +Groups shouldn't, and aren't, simply used for that.
