ProjectComment is a Group that provides Guaranteed & Constructive comments for the DeviantArt community.

In order to support those efforts, we encourage dedicated users to give comments too. For those who are critics, artists, or just helpful in the community, we now offer something in return for all that you do - be it helping the participants of ProjectComment, or the group itself!

This weekly article focuses on the amazing deviants in the DeviantArt community, who have given fantastic comments, through excerpts of those comments, artwork by the deviants themselves, and much more! Your support in :+fav: the article would be much appreciated.

Spotlight Commenters

These commenters are determined by you through Nominations (read below for more information). Each month, we will be selecting a couple of amazing commenters based on the comments we have seen in our gallery submissions and elsewhere on DeviantArt. Anyone on DeviantArt is applicable for this feature!

"I like this over all - letters are a pretty unique way of writing and this is a refreshing read from poetry and prose, a collection of letters would be very interesting indeed! But that's a tangent, here's a critique: over all, its good, but as you might have feared its quite clichéd from what I can see I am afraid. Lots of weather imagery, lots of somewhat predictable metaphors (a few gems though! I like the driftwood and shell comparisons). You could improve on this by axing off a few of the images that go overboard or reviewing what makes them same-y, and how you could commincate your emotions more specifically.[...]"

Make light -
cast it on your face like a spell.
You tell me things
- murmur and crackle.
You are another station
beyond the fuzz of this city
and science.

what they touch.
Step into the firmament
- please
on steps of shade
and eyes
staring at the poor earth.

A magnet has come to town.
Breathe on me -
turn to face your halo.
Shimmer.
Your arms on my back,
chest to chest,
yours on yours.
Watch the hands on the clock
stroke.
Frame pieces of me with your hands.
Times bend to you.
I'm slipping -
hold on.

Some grand view will crown the heights and one day
I will see.

"Colorful, lively, and despite having different colors everywhere, the piece looks clean and neat, like vector art! My favorite part of him (her?) is the hair. This pics allure me somehow. It caught my eyes instantly while I scroll through submissions. Like the other guy said, this pics look fun. full of refreshing sight and the character expression brings it together very well. Although I think the background is abit overdone but it doesn't subtract much from the whole picture.[...]"

"There are a few comments below suggesting that you should put more details in the ground. I disagree, but I get why they would want that. While the horizon shouldn't be sharply distinguishable, some more difference between ground and sky wouldn't be a bad idea, especially on the left and right of the ground, not where it's fading out, but maybe some of the areas that seem to have the same colours as the darker clouds on the horizon. This will make the background more distinguishable from the foreground, I think, providing us with an even better feeling of depth than the lens distortion already does.</i>[...]"
