The Bird And The Worm Ch2He was at the entrance to the alleyway when I called him back to me.
"Why?"
He stopped for a moment, hesitated, then turned to the darkness that consumed me. "Can I trust you?"
"No."
"I heard what they said about you," he told me, stepping closer. "I asked what you'd done in the first place, where the proof was, how they knew you were pure evil. They didn't have answers." Pause. "They didn't give you a chance."
I could smell a trick a mile off. I'd be dead long ago if I had weaknesses typical of humans; trust, loyalty, morality. I did, however, have cunning. Lots of cunning.
And it had been so long since I'd played this game...
"Help me," I implored, tainting my voice with pathos, stepping closer. He didn't wince; they always wince. Is he broken? He was a strange toy, easier and yet more difficult to play with.
"I will."
And that was the day Frank Iero signed his soul away.
UnknownThe tinkling of bells sounded through the diner as Promise was cleaning up the table that had just been vacated. They were a little slow today. Probably because it was that time of day that the world seemed to shift.
You see, ever since two years ago the world finally came into the know about all sorts of mythic creatures being real, and human's didn't take it very well. After nearly having a world wide war the leaders of Humanity and The council of the Other's Community came to an agreement. That the Other's Community would police their own and not allow any humans to be killed or be destroyed by the Council. Then the Leaders of Humanity all agreed to police any Hate crimes against Others accordingly. They found city's that were Other sympathetic and put up Other Safe Areas. They also have Human Safe Areas.
Any way, alot of the Others are Nocturnal, not all but some. So that time between twilight and dark most humans go home and lock their selves in still afraid of what might happen i

The GorgonAlone without friends,
Never to have a firm love,
Destined to watch stone,
Ashes to AshesThey line up in a row
Arm touching arm
Band touching band
Marching on
Hand in hand
They came armed
Skulls on their caps
Leading us to fate
Taking us away
Taking us away
The fire burns in the distance
Calling them name by name
The smoke beckoning their lives
"Come to me"
"Come to me"
Ashes to ashes
Falling from the sky like snow
Ashes to ashes
No one needs to know
The ashes rise and fall
Fluttering to the cites
Children play in the new weather
Finally free
Finally free
Yitgaddal veyitqaddash shmeh rabba
May his name be exalted and sanctified
Yitgaddal veyitqaddash shmeh rabba
May his name be exalted and sanctified
Whip us, burn us,
And leave us to die
You can hide your shame
But you can't hide your lie
Yehe shlama rabba min shmayya
Let the sun shine down on us
And shed a little bit of light
On a time that was in the dark
They came from the hills
And from all around
The smell of death lingers
Breathe in
Breathe out
We are in the fire
Some of us alive
Some of us dead
Finally free
Finally

Magic Week - Reverse Caption
The power flowed into him, filling his lungs, spreading out in his blood like oxygen, and settling into the marrow of his bones. He felt himself smile in a way that he hadn't since he was a boy learning to cast his first spell. He had devoted decades to the study of magic, but now, now he was magic. A glow lit the trees around him. He couldn't be sure if it was the setting sun, or if the glow came from his own skin. A beetle crawled on the ground nearby, seemingly unconcerned with what it had just witnessed, but yet its movements were in time with his heartbeat. A bird in the sky flapped its wings to the same rhythm. A breeze plucked at his hair and clothes. He began to dance, slowly at first; he followed the wind, and the wind followed him. He moved faster, twirling and leaping, until even the fallen leaves were dancing around him. When he stopped, all was still. He smiled again, and raised his arms to the sky. The first stars were visible. He watched them for a long
