Photography Release is issued weekly to inform you of new, as well as existing, photography groups, submission guidelines/themes, and more photography related happenings taking place on deviantART.

For those who are not photographers, there is also a miscellaneous section listing an assortment of other groups and their activities which you can, hopefully, participate in.

~ iLovePhotographyClub is a group of photography lovers, so if you love photography, then this is the club for you! The community is great, and they accept all types of art (photography wise), so what are you waiting for?

~ We are here to make the photography community bigger. We hold critiques nights and try to get underexposed photographers out in the spotlight! We are a group of photographers that want to help out other photographers as much as we can. Come see us in the #iPhotograph chat and start sharing your photos

~ A club devoted to the sky, and anything that belongs in it. We accept any type of work- traditional, literary, digital, or photography. We also run contests, and promote our members.

~ Our group is a group dedicated to showing and conserving animals through various media to those on DeviantArt.

~ PhotosOfTheEssence is seeking unique photographers who want to further promote their work. The idea is to let every individual photographer show their own style of photography, but also to make it easier for you to network, promote and grow. This group is open to photographers of any age and location.

~ The Bokeh-Club is dedicated to all the photography lovers and created to share the most beautiful bokeh-picture around their galleries.
This club is meant to share the fine art picture of those who like playing with the depth of field and the wonderful 'shape and light' effects it can give to your photos if used correctly.

~ The group is about Night Photography, which is pretty much any photo taken after the Sun has set. So using remaining available light, moonlight, starlight or artificial light are all welcome. We're currently a small group, so steady growth is our aim at the moment.

UnCritic’s staff openings:

UnCritics: The basic staff. In addition to being able to vote on all queries, submitting works to the gallery is instant for you guys, which means that if you want your work to be UnCritiqued, you can suggest it to the gallery without having to poll for votes. You can also request your blog posts to be made public.
Requirements: You must submit at least 1 valid UnCritique every two weeks.

Advanced UnCritics: You get all of the perks of being a regular UnCritic, but you have instant access to posting blogs, which means that you can be more active in the community! Your invites to non-members to join the group expire after a whole two weeks, which means that they last twice as long as regular UnCritics' invites.
Requirements: You must submit at least 1 valid UnCritique per week.

~ Do you ever feel like you're just out of inspiration or "out of the mood" for art? If you do, then you probably know you're not the only one.

"We're here to encourage you, inspire you and motivate you as an artist in hope that you will find your own style on the way and find yourself a better artist at the finish line."

~ Project Comment is a project that features the generally obscured and underappreciated artists and their art in regular news articles. Our objective is to recognise deviants who deserve more recognition and to feature deviations with less than 10 original comments.

~ This group is for the artworks that you spent hours on, poured all your love and attention into, uploaded on dA and got a grand '...' from your watchers. We feel your pain!

Submit work you worked REALLY hard on but you don't feel you got much attention for to the relevant folder in the gallery.

You may submit one image per week to the gallery
The piece you submit must be a week or more old
The image may have no more than 333 s on it
You can submit to the Digital, Traditional, Photography or Literature gallery folders, depending on the type of work. The staff will choose their favourite submissions to put in the featured folder.

We provide a service meant for unsubscribed members of the deviantART community to be able to take advantage of the knowledge of other artists here and to improve based on that.

Anyone can join the UnCritic community. We're obviously taking regular members, but we also have room for premium members. Of course, premium members, especially critics, are highly valued, since they get more out of the art here than the rest of us do and they have more experience with the official critique feature.
