Daily Deviations Week
Daily Deviations are central to what most Community Volunteers do, whether it involves going through Daily Deviation suggestions, featuring Daily Deviations or doing other things related to Daily Deviations. However, Community Volunteers also do a lot outside Daily Deviations. This article aims to run through some of the many things that we do!

  • If we are not doing something related to Daily Deviations, we may be moderating the chat and forum. This is where the Chat/Forum Community Volunteers come in, the Community Volunteers that don't do anything related to Daily Deviations on an administrative level, but make an equal difference in the community. The chat and forum have their own individual communities, similar to the communities in the Galleries, and Community Volunteers moderate either or both to ensure things are running smoothly. You may come across Community Volunteers who do both Daily Deviations and chat/forum, which means double the fun for us all. :dummy:
  • Community Volunteers are heavily involved in :devgroups:, in particular, the unofficial official groups! Groups like CRPhotography, Traditionalists, Digitalists and more! Community Volunteers work together with other Community Volunteers and/or members to offer a group filled with awesome activities such as projects, contests, events, etc.. Features may be published frequently through groups, as well as other news articles such as editorials. Overall, a lot of things happen in these groups, so check them out if you are interested!
  • As mentioned above, Community Volunteers may post a lot of news articles. These could involve interviews with artists, features of artists, editorials related to art and more besides! Feel free to :+devwatch: individual Community Volunteers to catch up with the latest news of an art community that you are interested in.
  • Shenanigans! Community Volunteers frequently host challenges, contests, projects and other events to get the community involved in general interaction, fun and more. You can get the latest of these events by :+devwatch: individual Community Volunteers, the unofficial official groups, the main hub of Community Volunteers which is communityrelations and/or the magnificent person who is the head of all Community Relations: moonbeam13. moonbeam13 posts a 'Pimps & Whoas' article series once every fortnight full of delicious news, so go check it out!
  • Community Volunteers don't indulge in shenanigans all day every day. No! We also run educational projects, the main hub being projecteducate. Full of information, editorials, guides and more, projecteducate aims to educate you on various things in this great artistic community.
Perhaps the most important of all, Community Volunteers are here for you. Yes, we support you through Daily Deviations, but we support you in so many other ways. Many of us are happy to help with all sorts of things! If you have a question about DeviantArt, or anything within DeviantArt, we are happy to answer your questions and/or direct you to a place where you will find your answer. If you would like support with your own shenanigans, we can help! If you would like support of different kinds, we are here.

At the end of the day, we are here to hear you, to be there for you and to provide the bridge for you to get your thoughts and feelings heard by staff. However, that doesn't mean we are anybody's dogsbody! Treat us like you would want to be treated yourself and this community will breathe and bleed art.

Thank you for reading.

Interesting. Question how can I get involved in posting news articles, and editorial writing? :)
