Artists join deviantART to share their art and appreciate others. Due to the many artists out there, it's easy to get towed under and generally obscured from the public.

Make a Difference aims to do exactly that. This series of articles will hopefully make a difference to you as well as the artists featured weekly. Just by giving one minute of your time to write constructive comments, favourites and even watches will make a difference to these artists.

:iconkapanaga:'s black and white, square photography is visually captivating. The square format works exceptionally well with the subject matters captured, and the atmosphere in many of the photographs is truly profound too.

:iconsto67:'s poetry is really intense in the emotion conveyed. The way there is such impact and force in the chosen words phrased together makes the effect that much more powerful all in all.

he writes mehe writes me
as if each letter was the last
in recorded history.
like literature would deign
to disappear without so much
as a wave of goodbye-
and i hang off his every word;
catlike concentration pawing
the loose threads of his conversation.
he doesn't speak in rhyme
(nor reason sometimes),
but his words speak to me
louder than a shot of epinephrine
and excites me just as well;
like it fills my arteries with
a longing to share your heartbeat
and breathe your air-
but then it's gone.
like a warm bathroom vapour
dispersing out through the open door;
the comfort fades and all that's left
is the cold condensate
dripping slowly down the wall.
~ An extract from he writes me
"and i hang off his every word;
catlike concentration pawing
the loose threads of his conversation.
he doesn't speak in rhyme"

puppetyou pull me aside just to tell me
that i am yours; like i am strung up
by the sibilance that lingers
while you speak.
your voice props me up and
commands me to life.
each crushing consonant burying me
within your grasp-
i can only play the role you give me;
a mannequin that only looks the part
in the store window:
dressed for display, to act
like some sort of poseur to peddle
your brand of seduction.
a puppet cannot choose his parts
but oh how i pray that i could play
the wretched prisoner
and be true to myself for once.
~ An extract from puppet
"your voice props me up and
commands me to life.
each crushing consonant burying me
within your grasp-"

semi-colonyour sentences are one period short
from a semi-colon;
neither relevant nor related
to the subject at hand-
you speak like a hurricane;
a myriad of misguided words
flung together haphazardly,
like your words sound stronger
when thrown with force.
i just wished you'd punctuate so
that i'd not need to read your
wall of text strung hastily
together from whence your mind
conjures conversation.
~ An extract from semi-colon
"you speak like a hurricane;
a myriad of misguided words
flung together haphazardly,
like your words sound stronger
when thrown with force."

:iconglitchedvirus: has some great pixel artwork of creatures that are fantastically portrayed to us! The shading is brilliant and the colours are applied very well too in making certain features and parts stand out more.
