Deviation Actions
Artists join deviantART to share their art and appreciate others. Due to the many artists out there, it's easy to get towed under and generally obscured from the public.
Make a Difference aims to do exactly that. This series of articles will hopefully make a difference to you as well as the artists featured weekly. Just by giving one minute of your time to write constructive comments, favourites and even watches will make a difference to these artists.
Suggested by Maay, m-vladimir has some great people and portrait photography in his gallery! Quite a few are wonderfully spontaneous where the expressions are concerned, but the composition and perspective are both intriguing too.

m-vladimir's Gallery
's literature is thought-provoking, especially as her pieces contain a profound lyrical tone that seemingly invites you to engage more with her pieces and to really think about the concepts touched upon. It is an intense journey that we are on when reading what she has submitted to deviantART.
~ An extract from Jenner - 30
"and I wish I had his carpenter hands
to craft beams from my bones
and planks with all my faulty promises,
hammer myself back together with 20 nails,
instead of tearing skin,"
"I've heard that
lovers used to stamp them closed
hot seal wax
and signatures"
"as you don't make a sound,
let me brush you down. Hush Sweetling,
you're breaking sweat"

's gallery is truly extraordinary in the many different styles used to convey the subject matters and ideas across. The application of colours is absolutely brilliant, making the pieces truly atmospheric as a result. Her gallery is definitely worth a look if you have some time!

With or Without the PostmanThe post used to be lover's code,~ An extract from With or Without the Postman
stamps and timestamps and envelopes
pale and left to be licked
sticky with lust
I've heard that
lovers used to stamp them closed
hot seal wax
and signatures
Wait weeks
spend hours
rereading
Reply behind their spouses' backs
on parchments,
holding the paper to their breasts
and passing it, sweaty palmed,
into couriers' hands
And I'm jealous.
What I'd give
for just one
love poem.
"I've heard that
lovers used to stamp them closed
hot seal wax
and signatures"
RabbitBaby Girl, Tender Girl,~ An extract from Rabbit
you're a pretty thing: big rabbit orbs
for eyes and panic lines
where your whiskers would be,
come and let me hold you
down in a quiet place. Feel your heart
race, race, run run run
beneath my hands. So much
to be had beneath these hands!
I'll indulge as long
as you don't make a sound,
let me brush you down. Hush Sweetling,
you're breaking sweat
from the top of your timid temples
to the backs of your yielding knees,
and there is moisture
where rosebuds
should dot your cheeks.
Oh, Doe Child,
don't worry. I'll give you a promise
we know I won't break:
I'll keep you in care here
until long after your eyes
can worry.
"as you don't make a sound,
let me brush you down. Hush Sweetling,
you're breaking sweat"

Magic Week - Reverse Caption
The power flowed into him, filling his lungs, spreading out in his blood like oxygen, and settling into the marrow of his bones. He felt himself smile in a way that he hadn't since he was a boy learning to cast his first spell. He had devoted decades to the study of magic, but now, now he was magic. A glow lit the trees around him. He couldn't be sure if it was the setting sun, or if the glow came from his own skin. A beetle crawled on the ground nearby, seemingly unconcerned with what it had just witnessed, but yet its movements were in time with his heartbeat. A bird in the sky flapped its wings to the same rhythm. A breeze plucked at his hair and clothes. He began to dance, slowly at first; he followed the wind, and the wind followed him. He moved faster, twirling and leaping, until even the fallen leaves were dancing around him. When he stopped, all was still. He smiled again, and raised his arms to the sky. The first stars were visible. He watched them for a long
