Artists join deviantART to share their art and appreciate others. Due to the many artists out there, it’s easy to get towed under and generally obscured from the public.

Make a Difference aims to do exactly that. This series of articles will hopefully make a difference to you as well as the artists featured weekly. Just by giving one minute of your time to write constructive comments, favourites and even watches will make a difference to these artists.

:iconphilosomatographer: has gorgeous black and white photography and many awesome colourful ones too! He barely gets any attention at all so, if you have some time, go make a difference now!

Owning the SeasonsMy favorite seat
Was the bench near the lake
In our park during winter
I remember you trying to tell me
It doesn't snow here where we live
Because we can't own a season
When we don't have the climate
But I sure loved to pretend
That the mudpies were make believe snowballs
That the wind carried snowflakes
And that spring was around the corner
Ready to take the cold away

When i grow upI've always wanted to
get drunk,
hotwire cars
and get into jail.
Maybe sniffing up
some H would help
get me locked up.
And ever since I've learned
of tattoos
i wanted to get one.
I've had it figured out,
a barbed wire on my arm
with some blood to
make it look real.
To make it look like
i'm trapped in some
kind of disgusting way.
I'd get myself a gun
without a permit.
Permits are no
fun at all.
Speaking of which,
becoming a bounty hunter
would be cool or
maybe a full time part timer
who sucks on lollies
all day.
I've always wanted
to meet a hooker,
thought it might be hilarious.
Or a liar whose
oath is to
never tell the truth.
I'd hand them my heart
wrapped up in plastic,
just so i know how
it'd feel to have my heart
shattered and
pissed on.
After that,
i'd get myself a boyfriend
who has peirced
nipples
and sleeps with the whole town.
I'd obviously
swear i'd do
all those things
if i wasn't me.

Thats why God gave us hands   "Tell me, what are hands used for?" He had his palms outstretched, facing the empty night sky. The clouds were hiding that night.
"They are for holding things." The answer was... simple.
"Then tell me, why did God give us hands?" He had always been the curious type, never knowing when to stop asking questions. Long dried tears were staining his cheeks like blood flowing down a gaping wound.
"To hold things." Again, the answer was simple.
"If then, tell me why we would want to hold things?" You could see by the way he held his jaw, the glimmer in his ocean colored eyes that he was frustrated about the answer. The answers were too simple, too curt, and too predictable for him.
"So that they don't fall, we would want to keep then safe."
"Why would we want to keep things that'll fall safe?" He didn't get it.
"Because they are precious, all precious things break."
"Then, what are my hands for?" He asked, wondering if he finally understood. Fresh tears run down his cheeks l
~ An extract from That’s why God gave us hands
"He looked at his hands, now balled up in fists and slashed the air in front of him. It felt like someone pulled him underwater; his motions were slow, he couldn't breathe, and noise sounded like static. His knees had long bent and failed beneath him."

:iconlagunaya: uses colour with excellent skill. Even though Lagunaya’s gallery is quite small, it is still well worth the gander to take, especially as the pieces she does have are drawn to great accuracy and precision.
