This monthly project aims to showcase the six word stories that you find awesome!
At the beginning of the month, we asked you to choose your top three favourite six word stories from this folder. Firstly, many thanks to these people who participated:
The results were quite scattered! However, there was one piece that was the most liked, which will be shown on our front page for a month!
BATTLEFAIRIES said, "This one's my favourite. Neat and tight and excellent."
MajorasMasks said, "Classic story, but effective. I like the missing period for the last line, it leaves the story open and the readers eager for more. "
Astarsia said, "I feel this has just plain honest truth to it. I knew someone who went through this. In fact i heard him talk to himself. It freaked me out, I'll be honest. But at least I understood after that."
Xovinx said, "It's a good look into the mind of the character, and tells a surprisingly sad story. The POV character hears things no one else can hear, and despite never having anyone else confirm their existence, he still asks anyway. Very well composed!"
FieryDownpour479 said, "This one is very interesting because it really shows the character behind someone who is schizophrenic. The italicized words also help show the frustration of the character and I think it's just wonderful."
SECRET-NINJA-SUPER-M said, "There's a lot of emotion in this one, and a glimpse of understanding something many of us probably can't really experience."
BATTLEFAIRIES said, "I like seeing poetry with this kind of relevance, and I say poetry because the image at the end is exactly that."
FieryDownpour479 said, "The language in this is very beautiful. It makes the reader wonder what happened exactly. It's very poetic and metaphorical, and I think that's what makes this even more special."
SECRET-NINJA-SUPER-M said, "It's a very "real" feeling piece, which I like."
mitoXD said, "I wished the oil managers were forced to have this for lunch!"
MajorasMasks said, "Interesting layout and spacing between the lines."
Plaugh said, "There is a truth there that people do not want to see."
SECRET-NINJA-SUPER-M said, "I think that the layout works really well here, I like that it tells two sides of the story at once. Even the fact that it's untitled adds a little something to the emotion of it."
MajorasMasks said, "Do I really need to comment this?
Anyway, even if the title gives the story more context, it works without that too."
Xovinx said, "Sounds like either a really fun game, or a really tragic book. Either way, it's a well-told tale for only six words."
mitoXD said, "... until the king gets killed himself. The way of history, lethally to the point."
BATTLEFAIRIES said, "I appreciate it that the author put me on the wrong track at first. Nice choice of words!"
Plaugh said, "As the owner of a 76 pound puppy who chews on furniture, I can completely relate."
jules-101 said, "I love this one because it illustrates the way some people judge others because they lack the ability to feel compassion. Nobody "digs holes" for attention."
Plaugh said, "The fourth word made me smile, totally unexpected."
Astarsia said, "I love vampire stories and this is the shortest one I've read, and it's no less awesome. You can see fear here, loss, curiosity. There is a clear beginning middle and end. Love it. great job."
Astarsia said, "I don't know about anybody else, but I've definitely been in this position before. And it sucks."
mitoXD said, "When running wild hormones threaten friendship, precisely abstracted."
That is it for this month, but may this act as encouragement for you to write your six word stories and submit them into this folder! Submissions are automatically approved into the folder, and you are allowed to post five pieces a month!

Magic Week - Reverse Caption
The power flowed into him, filling his lungs, spreading out in his blood like oxygen, and settling into the marrow of his bones. He felt himself smile in a way that he hadn't since he was a boy learning to cast his first spell. He had devoted decades to the study of magic, but now, now he was magic. A glow lit the trees around him. He couldn't be sure if it was the setting sun, or if the glow came from his own skin. A beetle crawled on the ground nearby, seemingly unconcerned with what it had just witnessed, but yet its movements were in time with his heartbeat. A bird in the sky flapped its wings to the same rhythm. A breeze plucked at his hair and clothes. He began to dance, slowly at first; he followed the wind, and the wind followed him. He moved faster, twirling and leaping, until even the fallen leaves were dancing around him. When he stopped, all was still. He smiled again, and raised his arms to the sky. The first stars were visible. He watched them for a long
