Artistic Progress contest
Your mission, in this contest, is to show how feedback can have a positive effect on your art.
You first choose one piece of art that has received constructive feedback in your gallery. Then, you will enhance or remake the piece based on the feedback. In the end, you put the old and the new piece side by side in one file and submit it as a deviation. You must also quote the beneficial feedback in the artist's comments.
See an example here.
Rules
- The enhanced/remade version of the artwork has to be a new piece, that is, created after the contest announcement.
- The old version may have been created earlier.
- All media are accepted, including literature! Please abide by the deviantART rules.
- Maximum of two submissions are accepted per artist.
- The feedback we're talking about may be a critique or constructive comment, it doesn't matter. Therefore, you don't need to be subscribed to participate in this contest.
Send your submission as a fav suggestion in only one of these folders.
Gimmefeedback's folder - ProjectComment's folder - UnCritic's folder
The contest ends Saturday 13th of March at midnight (GMT).
Winners
The four winners are chosen by a jury. The jury will be looking for artworks that indicate good use of the feedback received. The most important measure of the evaluation is how well the artist has been able to apply the technical or conceptual feedback in her/his artwork.

Magic Week - Reverse Caption
The power flowed into him, filling his lungs, spreading out in his blood like oxygen, and settling into the marrow of his bones. He felt himself smile in a way that he hadn't since he was a boy learning to cast his first spell. He had devoted decades to the study of magic, but now, now he was magic. A glow lit the trees around him. He couldn't be sure if it was the setting sun, or if the glow came from his own skin. A beetle crawled on the ground nearby, seemingly unconcerned with what it had just witnessed, but yet its movements were in time with his heartbeat. A bird in the sky flapped its wings to the same rhythm. A breeze plucked at his hair and clothes. He began to dance, slowly at first; he followed the wind, and the wind followed him. He moved faster, twirling and leaping, until even the fallen leaves were dancing around him. When he stopped, all was still. He smiled again, and raised his arms to the sky.
