Hierarchy by 3wyl Hierarchy by 3wyl
I wanted to call it "Pop Art", but I wasn't sure it fit, so... "Hierarchy" it is. I'm not sure if that fits either, but you can sort of see it. ^^;

You can just about see what I did to create this piece too, but I'm interested in reading your thoughts anyway. :nod:

I like it...I have no idea what I'm looking it, but the colour combination and the general build (slightly out of focus) vs the positioning of the photo draw the viewer in.
But if I may be so blunt: what is the object you shot here?

Lights, just street lights at night. :D

If that makes sense?

Thanks a lot. :hug:

To me it looks a lot like piano keys with their "colours". You know, the colours we can hear when somebody's playing the piano. Not the colours we can see, that would make just 2. xD

It feels like the hierarchy of sounds was on its way to my brain. And I have to admit that I like that feeling a lot.:D

The composition is great! I find myself more in love with squares, especially when they're accompanied by the circles, like here.:clap:

I love squares too! It's impressive what some people can do with them. :nod:

Thank you for sharing your thoughts here. It was very insightful! :D

Aww, thank you! I don't think any of my pieces are worthy enough to be prints, though. ^^;

My deviations are there to just sit, so to speak. I originally joined dA for the community, and I still ... believe that, I guess. :shrug:

I like your use of colors and shapes. To me, abstract stuff looks good on a wall as a mood maker or random thought generator. I guess you are going to force me to have to learn how to use my own camera then...

I get what you mean. :nod:

For me, it's normally a random thought generator than a mood maker, but both are pretty cool anyway. :shrug:

You have a camera? O.o

Of course! That would be awesome! :D

This is pretty cool, first thing that popped into my mind was a kid riding a bike, like your looking from a really intense low angle, I can see his hands on one of the handle bars with the sun in the sky and part of his forehead showing. IDK, lol thats just what I see.

So, I've been studying Wassily Kandinsky lately, for an oral presentation.

Art Historians like to debate what was the very first PURELY abstract painting ever. So, everyone's definition happens to be slightly different.

As I've come to understand-- abstract means that it's either the core of a subject, broken down to pure colors, pure line, pure form etc. and accentuating the fact that it is INDEED a pure 2 Dimensional form. Either completely destroying a legible subject matter or making it so ambiguous, the viewer is forced to find their own meaning.

That being said in a long-winded manner: I think this is elegantly abstract and is a real cornucopia for the eyes, man! The colors are very deep and the mere suggestions of what could or could not be solid objects, forces you really, truly, think about what you're looking at.

(Lol sorry, but just out of curiosity, why would you have chosen "Pop Art" for the name?)

Lol, thank you so much!

Pop Art... Ah, it's random. ^^;

I think of weird titles, and Pop Art just... stood out for me, when I was thinking of a name for this piece. In essence, there is no reason. :P

it looks like hands reaching out, forming a pyramid shape, to the golden disc in hopes of something...

The title is fitting I think. What is it though? I see tree branches and what I assume is the sun
