1) Think about your characters. Introducing filler characters for the sake of one task is foolish. It's better if you use a certain character consistent. Like a Quest Seller, that appears more than once. What I am saying here is… Don't introduce a filler character for the sake of one action.
2) If you have a writer's block… Let your characters make a walk and make them have a look back in what happened. Maybe you have started a plot line somewhere that you can continue now.
3) Make notes, really.. A notebook with as much information as possible is handy. Also when the information seems useless at first
Writing Short Stories During Exams: a guideThis guide pretty much returns to basics, because, let's face it: examiners often expect formulaic work.  So, for a story to be a story, it needs a plot: your work must contain an element of change, whether that's reflected in one of your characters adopting a change of heart, or something else.

Back in the day, our short story pieces were usually spurred by a sentence, e.g.:

"The child stood on the cardboard box."

This is the premise, which you have to work around.  Let's say that it's an hour's exam: that leave us about 10 minutes for planning, 45 minutes for writing, and about 5 minutes for checking our work.

Time & Place

I disagree with writers who say that you should always write at a specific time and in a specific place.  Sometimes a writer will enter the 'rhythm' of his or her work, but chaining yourself to particular writing conditions could mean that you end up stuck in a loop.

Try writing wherever you go.  Carry a small notebook and scribble while on the train, while waiting for a lesson to begin, while hovering in the biscuit aisle&

You post your two comments on two deviations in the January Freestyle Gallery Folder. Then, you copy/paste those links in the Correspondence Message part that comes when you submit your own deviation into the gallery.

The tutorial should explain it well there. ^^;

To submit, could I comment on any piece in the gallery, or just the new ones? I do believe that even old artworks deserve attention.

So, if you want to submit art, it would be two comments per submission...
and I have to comment on the pieces in the Folders of the gallery? :?
And are you supposed to first submit the art into the gallery, and then comment on other pieces, and then post the links, right?
